I'm currenting living in Kumamoto, Japan as a third year English teacher. Outside of work, I'm collecting information on Kumamoto Buddhist activity during Japan's Pacific War. Given that the vast majority of temples in the area are Jodo shinshu (Pure Land Buddhism), I focused my research on this sect.
